Not tested by WebMD to see where the confusion, but by a bacterium that is syphilis (Treponema pallidum), while Pityriasis rosea is presumed to be caused by a virus that causes. However, if a patient is seen with pityriasis rosea by a doctor, the doctor must ensure that the patient does not syphilis, and both diseases can have too rash appears similar. Both diseases are not related. I hope this is the confusion for you.
